Whimsical Wedding Inspiration

Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with Amy & Apphia
on a whimsical wedding inspiration shoot. They are an amazing team and
provide affordable personal decoration services for weddings and
birthday parties. If you are celebrating your little one's birthday or
are in a mood to throw an impressive dinner party, you should definitely
shoot them an email! More photos to come!

Jessica & Peter

Sunday, January 29, 2012
Jessica and Peter had a hectic couple months. These photos are of them
celebrating their 3rd wedding event, at Moran's in Chelsea. Their
journey began with the City Hall ceremony, then went on to the wedding
in Korea on Christmas Eve, an intimate gathering of their friends in
NYC, and it will end with a flourish in upstate New York next month.
Despite the international marathon of celebrations, the couple put on
their dancing shoes and partied the night away. I think they are going
to need a nice long vacation after their final bash in Syracuse. Good
luck guys ;)

Northern Lights

Wednesday, December 14, 2011

Last
month, my ultimate goal was to catch the Northern Lights.
Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck. After 2 nights of chasing the
mysterious phenomenon, this is all I could capture on my camera. I'm
going to book another trip soon and make sure I catch it next time!!!

Vik, Iceland
0
Vik
is a small town on the southern coast of Iceland, 2.5 hrs southeast of
the capital Reykjavik. Iceland doesn't have many roads and their
highway Rt 1 is a two-way street that goes around the entire country.
The landscape on the way to Vik was so surreal that it didn't feel like a
real place but a 2-dimensional painting. Near Vik is Dyrhólaey, a
famous black sand beach with a rock arch. It was dark and stormy when
we arrived but I stood patiently on the cliff and waited for the right
moment… And the sun finally broke through the clouds! While waiting I
did almost get swallowed by the crashing waves. Yikes! On the way back
to Reykjavik, I saw some Icelandic horses grazing at the foot of some
beautiful mountains. These horses are so friendly that you can just hop
on and ride them for an hour, and return them to the wild afterwards
when you're done. I really love their funky hair!

This is the most amazing place I've ever been to. The landscapes in this
country are just mind blowing. It doesn't quite feel like a different
country; it feels like different planet. Words cannot describe. You
just need to go to this place in person. From the milky Blue Lagoon, to
the famous Geysir that erupts every 10 minutes, the no-man's land
between the European and North American continent, and the amazing hot
dogs with gravy that I still crave everyday... I've only just arrived
home and I am already planning my next trip back.
