Yena & Mateo

I'm so grateful to have gone up to Boston to photograph these two before "Sandy" took my power out for 10 days. This recently engaged couple holds a very dear place in my heart. Why? Because Yena is my sister, which would make Mateo my future brother-in-law. Since I will be part of the wedding ceremony, and won't be taking photos, I jumped at the opportunity to photograph these love birds and bask in the pretty fall foliage with two of my favorite people.

Now let me tell you a little about them:

These two come from completely different parts of the world, but they are soul mates who were meant to meet one day. They are pretty much the same person in different bodies. They text in their own alien language and they even look alike! (Our family was very surprised by the resemblance.) Yena, raised in Korea and New Jersey, and Mateo, raised in Argentina and Southern California, met while attending the Rhode Island School of Design. Now Yena works as an industrial designer in Rhode Island and Mateo as a landscape architect in Boston. They share a love for good food, good company, great design, goofy dance moves, and Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations." This smiley couple was so easy to photograph, and needless to say, we are all very excited for their wedding in California next year :) Xoxo

Charlotte + Brett = Heath

A few weeks back, before "Sandy" came and swept away the coast of NJ and NY, I met a beautiful baby boy named Heath. He was 2 weeks old and weighed a healthy 8.5 pounds when I photographed him. He is a sweet baby with orange hair... Except when you unswaddle him, he isn't very happy about the cold. I know this handsome boy will have a great photo album from having such an amazing photographer for a mom. I just want to say it was such a privilege to photograph this precious moment for Charlotte, my mentor and close friend, and her husband Brett. Thank you so much for having me! I'll see you around Heath ;) Xoxo
