Kate's Bridal Shower

Last Saturday was Kate's Bridal shower, thrown by her wonderful mother, older sister and her cousin.  Forty somewhat friends and family gathered to celebrate this joyous moment with Kate.  She was literally showered with everything she ever wanted from her registry and some more from the wishing well (except for China but who needs a fine sets of China these days right?... right??).  Her favorites were kitchen aid mixer and a slower cooker (oh man. she was ecstatic!)  She received so much stuff that at one point she said "now who wants to buy me a bigger house?!" What a lucky bride-to-be! Can't wait to go over to her house and eat yummy food that she'll be cooking with all these wonderful gadgets.

The Turnbucklers are back.  They've been performing throughout NJ and I finally attended their show couple of weekends ago at Roxy & Dukes.  They are three very talented guys expressing whatever is on their mind with amazing beats and melodies that gets your head moving without realizing.  (Also a great stress reliever listening to their music)  Keep your eyes out for these guys and try catching their shows if you are in town.

I was in Toronto few weeks back with my friend, who is visiting from outside of the country.  It was quite a bit of a road trip.  We left our home at 3am and got into the city around 10:30am. What a drive.. As a kid I never realized how much my parents had to drive to show us all these amazing sites. I truly appreciate it now that I have to drive to all these places myself! Anyhow, the city was hibernating due to the cold weather in the winter but the people were so warm. I like Canadian people!! Eh?

We checked out the AGO, Art Gallery of Ontario, which had an amazing Maharaja exhibition going on.  I also personally loved David Blackwood's Black Ice.  Also the date we arrived was a day to participate in "Earth Hour" so we got to view the city scrape with the CN tower lit and turned off.  Wished rest of the buildings turned off like Hong Kong's Earth Hour.  Next day we toured "Casa Loma", a mansion/castle with 98 rooms!! Then down to Niagara Falls where I was so sick I spent the entire day in bed with a high fever.  So no picture of the amazing Fall despite our fall view hotel room.  ;(

It's been a while since I've posted blogs. Today I'm going to catching up with everything, well almost everything... For few months I had to wait for other, "the official" places to post the images first so I don't spoil the fun.  And GWV was one of them.  We had a fun shoot back in Feb in Brooklyn capturing the everyday "life of a Gypsy Warrior".  Our model, beautiful as always, had to wear really thin spring clothes and work the clothes outside in gusting windy street of BK that day at one point.  ;(  So.. Here it is.. check out their new website and their brand new line of cotton ware... www.gypsywarrior.com

In February on an extremely cold and windy day I participated as a staff of an independent movie.  It was really exciting since I've never been on a movie set before.  I can't spoil the story for you but it's a cute romance movie so keep your eyes out for it!  Written and directed by Vince Lin of Mints in Tin Pictures and produced by Matthew D'amato.  Very excited to see the final product and it was an honor to work with such a talented people.  I had a blast!
