Alex & Haruka & Hanna

Here is a little story of how I met this family.

When I was in LA last month for a workshop I stayed in a hostel in Little Tokyo to make my morning commute easier.  (I heard horrible stories about LA traffic)  Then I met Alex, the on-site hostel manager, and his almost 1 year old daughter Hanna.  I could not get over how cute this baby was!!  Then I went to my first day of the workshop and got super inspired and did something out of the ordinary.  I called Alex and asked if I could photograph his family.  There was "no" involved due to baby's schedule and it was dinner time and blah blah blah and I only had 30 min window before the sunset.... So I was kind of bummed that I couldn't photograph them but I did expect a "no" as an answer so I moved on and got ready to go to dinner.  Then the phone rang again! (Although I did have this weird feeling that he might call back)  When Alex told Haruka about my phone call she replied "Did you say no to baby photo? Call her back!" Thank god for Mothers! (ハるか！ありがとうございます) haha So here we are with these adorable photos of this gorgeous family.  I'm really glad I got my courage up and asked! I think I will definitely visit them again when I'm in town next.  Thanks guys for making what could've been really awkward into something so memorable!

Brian & Jennifer

Few weeks ago I got to photograph with talented Judy Pak and a gorgeous couple, Brian and Jennifer in Brooklyn.  First their home was decorated with such a taste that I just wanted to stay there forever.  Then we walked around the neighborhood finding cute and hidden spots to capture sweet moments of the two.  Photographing a good looking couple make the job much easier.  Thanks for the wonderful day and thanks again for letting me be part of it!

Whimsical Wedding Inspiration

Last weekend I had a pleasure of working with Amy & Apphia on our whimsical wedding inspiration shoot.  They are an amazing team and provide affordable yet personal decoration services to weddings and birthday parties.  If you are celebrating your little one's birthday or in a mood to throw an impressive dinner party, you should definitely shoot them an email!.  More photos to come!

Last month I went to LA to attend my cousin Caros's wedding.  She was such a beauty!  Congratz and see you next week!!

Jessica & Peter

Celebrating their 3rd wedding event in Moran's in Chelsea, Jessica and Peter had a hectic couple months.  Their journey began with the City Hall ceremony, the wedding in Korea on Christmas Eve, and the intimate gathering with their friends in in NYC and it will end with a flourish in upstate New York next month.  Despite the marathon of celebrations, the couple had on their dancing shoes and partied the night away.  I think they are going to need a nice long vacation after their final bash in Syracuse.  Good luck ;)

Northern Lights

Last month, my biggest goal was to catch the Northern Lights. Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck. After 2 nights of chasing the mysterious phenomenon, this is all I could capture on my camera.  I'm going to book another trip soon and make sure I catch it this time!!!
